Fee paid to the district magistrate (sýslumaður) for the issuing of a driving license:

The student driver can anticipate that the total cost is at least 360.000 kr. If more practical lessons are needed than the minimum requirement, the total amount rises accordingly.

The vehicles used in the practical lessons are a manual Ford Mondeo, model year 2019 and an automatic Ford Kuga, model year 2015. Both have a spacious interior and their excellent roadholding makes them ideal for driving instruction. The 150 HP 2.0TDCi engine of both vehicles is low in CO2 emissions due to Ford's new technology.

 

The Ford Mondeo and the Ford Kuga are very safe vehicles and are loaded with safety equipment. The Mondeo received top marks in the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) crash tests.
